  • Tom Guyot received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Oregon in 1969. From 1969 to 1977, he exhibited drawings as well as free standing and bas-relief abstract sculptures in juried shows and in galleries throughout the United States.Guyot Arts, a company specializing in wood carving, was formed in 1977, with an emphasis on repairing and carving new parts for antique carousel animals. As an outgrowth of an interest in miniatures and woodcarving, Mr. Guyot has created numerous miniature carousel figures that are in private collections throughout the country. He has designed, carved and built museum quality, operating miniature carousels, which are 36 inches in diameter and contain 48 animals
